Governor Mallam Umar Namadi has restated his administration commitment to continue implementing policies and programmes that would reduce the suffering of people occasioned by fuel subsidy removal.
The governor disclosed this when he received group Non- indigenes residing the jigawa state led by Pastor Ibrahim Yahaya who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Governor Namadi said he was concerned by the level of poverty and high cost of living and his administration is working out various interventions to cushion its effect on the people.
The governor told the visiting guests that recently that the state government had distributed food stuffs and cash transfer to most vulnerable group as palliatives.
He maintained, that the exercise took place across the 27local government and the beneficiaries cut- across all strater of the residents including non-indegenes.
While acknowledging the support they gave him in the last general elections, urged them to continue to live in peace with their host communities for the overall benefits of the state.
He reminded them that, his administration is running an all inclusive government devoid of parochial consideration based on religion, tribe or their state of origin assuring that government would investigate the issue of non-inclusion of some members on distribution of food stuff for justice and fairness.
Earlier speaking, the leader of group Pastor Ibrahim Yahaya said they where at the Governor's office to express their appreciations over distribution of palliative to thier member.
He, however lamented that some few individuals entrusted with distributions within their group had shortchanged majority of their members.
The leader therefore, urged the government to investigate the issue to forestall the future occurrence.
