Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi, has approved the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Maje Hamisu as the pioneer Executive Secretary of the newly established, Jigawa State Tsangaya Board.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim
The statement said, before his appointment, Dr. Maje is a Lecturer at the Islamic Studies Department, Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa. The new Executive Secretary has teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels, with significant quality supervision and valuable inter-disciplinary collaboration.
"Dr. Abubakar Maje, obtained his first degree from prestigious Bayero University, Kano, where he graduated with a B.A Islamic Studies/History in 2010, then earned M.A Islamic Studies in 2017 and Ph.D. in Islamic Studies and Shari’ah from the same University in 2021" the statement said.
He further explained that, Dr. Maje joined the services of the Jigawa State College of Education and Legal Studies, Ringim in 2012 as Lecture before he moved to Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa in 2019.
The Statement stated that, the appointment of the appointee is based on merit, competence and personal integrity.
"While congratulating the appointee it is hoped that, he would work hard to justify the confidence reposed in him and put in his best towards the development of the State" the SSG said.
The appointment take immediate effect.
