Jigawa State Government takes a significant step towards accountability and governance excellence as Governor Namadi presides over the signing of Executive Order and Performance Bonds by Heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Governor Namadi emphasizes the importance of aligning actions with the 12-Point Agenda and Inaugural Speech Declarations, converting commitments into a comprehensive framework with specific performance indicators for effective assessment.

The Executive Order establishes a Results Delivery & Performance Management Coordination Unit, tasked with monitoring, coordinating, and managing a Performance Measurement Tracking System to ensure result-oriented governance.

Key highlights of the Executive Order include:

- Quarterly scorecards and annual reviews for assessing Performance Bonds.
- Development of a comprehensive performance tracking system with Key Performance Indicators.
- Periodic reviews to address cross-cutting issues and ensure accountability across MDAs.

The Order mandates Heads of MDAs, especially Honorable Commissioners, to sign Performance Bonds, committing them to achieve set targets within specified timelines. The Performance Management Information System will facilitate accurate data reporting for quarterly and annual scorecards.

Governor Namadi expresses confidence in overcoming initial challenges, urging collective effort for successful institutionalization of the Result Delivery and Performance Measurement Tracking System. The long-term goal is to align Performance Bond Measurement with sector-wide Annual Sector Performance Reviews.

The signing ceremony witnesses the presence of key officials, including the Deputy Governor, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Deputy Speaker, Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, State APC Chairman, and representatives from FCDO, UNICEF, ALGON, and other development partners.

The Governor extends gratitude to all attendees, emphasizing collaboration with development partners for advancing the development agenda of Jigawa State.

The event marks a milestone in enhancing accountability and governance effectiveness in Greater Jigawa State.
