Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has approved the appointment of Na'annabi Ahmed as Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission (CSC), subject to the confirmation of the Jigawa State House of Assembly.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
Na'annabi is an experienced administrator who rose through the administrative cadre of the then old Kano State and the Jigawa State civil service to retire as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce.
The new CSC Chairman served as the Jigawa State acting Head of the Civil Service from June 2015 to October 2015.
"Upon confirmation, the new CSC Chairman is expected to commence work with immediate effect following the expiration of the tenure of the former Chairman of the Commission on December 10, 2024,” the statement said.
The statement said the appointment of the appointee to serve the State in this capacity is based on merit, competence and personal integrity.
