GOVERNOR NAMADI HOSTS SEND-OFF CEREMONY FOR 194 MEDICAL STUDENTS BOUND FOR CYPRUS

 In a demonstration of solidarity and unwavering support, Governor Namadi of Jigawa State orchestrated a heartfelt send-off ceremony for 194 medical students embarking on a transformative educational journey to the Near East University in Cyprus (184 students) and Integral University in India (10 students).

Previously enrolled in Sudan, these students faced disruptions due to civil unrest, compelling the Jigawa State Government to facilitate their transfer to Cyprus, as well as other destinations like Egypt and India.

The grand event unfolded at the prestigious Banquet Hall within the Jigawa State Government House in Dutse, where notable dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor, Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff to the Government House, Chairman APC Jigawa State, Commissioners for Higher and Basic Education, Commissioner of Health, Commissioner of Finance, Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, Executive secretary scholarship Board, members of Jigawa state House of Assembly, local government chairmen Special Advisers, Special Assistants, and students' parents, graced the occasion.

The gathering showcased the state government's unwavering commitment to prioritizing the education and well-being of its students, especially in the face of challenging circumstances.

Governor Namadi, in his address, emphasized the state's dedication to ensuring the success of its students, irrespective of the challenges they may encounter.

The send-off ceremony was not merely a farewell but a poignant expression of support, encouragement, and well-wishes for the aspiring medical professionals. Attendees, filled with a sense of pride, witnessed the students receiving blessings and words of encouragement from the dignitaries present.

This event underscores Jigawa State's dedication to providing quality education and fostering resilience in the face of unforeseen circumstances.
