NG- CARES: GOVERNOR NAMADI DISTRIBUTE INPUTS, AGRICULTURAL ASSETS TO 1,950 BENEFICIARIES

Jigawa state Governor Mallam Umar A. Namadi FCA has inaugurated the NG-CARES Area II-Fadama input and asset distribution, reaching 1,950 beneficiaries across Jigawa State. Addressing the event, governor Namadi emphasized the oversight by the NG-CARES Area II-Fadama committee, ensuring effective targeting, selection, and implementation monitoring to prevent any setbacks.

Having allocated 1.5 billion for the subsequent distribution, governor Namadi emphasized the enduring nature of the committee, standing till the program's conclusion. He assured increased empowerment and reduction of extreme poverty among the state's residents.

Over a span of 25 days, 120 communities across 27 local governments were visited, with 1,960 beneficiaries selected from hard-to-reach areas with minimal government presence. The diverse package allocation included 320 rice, 160 maize, 170 millet, 120 sorghum, 99 sheep, 320 goats, 193 water pumps, 138 processing machines, and 86 broiler day-old chicks.

The event witnessed the participation of key figures, including the Deputy Governor, State House of Assembly speaker, Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff to the Government House, members of the executive council, local government chairmen, party chieftains, and other attendees.
