1.The State Executive Council has today Wednesday, 24th January, 2024 has
approved a Memorandum presented by the Ministry of Basic Education for award of contract for the construction of 132no. Islamiyya Classrooms in 30 constituencies across the state, under the 2024 constituency projects. The Council has approved the total sum of Five Hundred and Thirty-Two
Million Four Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand Nine Hundred andSeventy Naira (N532,427,977.58K) only for the construction of 132no. of Islamiyya Classrooms (66no. of blocks each with block is 2 classrooms) under
the 2024 Sate Constituency projects.
2. Similarly, the State Executive Council has today during its deliberation approved the recommendations of the white paper committee on BilyaminuUsman Polytechnic Hadejia. The Council has directed the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology to immediately implement the recommendations of the White Paper report on Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic Hadejia.
3.The Council has approved the constitution of 5 Members InterimManagement Committee (IMC) for the 4 Tertiary Institutions in the State (College of Education, Gumel, College of Education, Legal and Islamic Studies, Ringim, Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic Hadejia and Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse respectively) for a period of 1 year.
4. The State Executive Council has also approved the recommendations of the
State Environmental Sanitation Committee, presented by the Ministry of Environment. The Council has during its deliberation commended the performance of Maigatari, Gumel and Birniwa Local Government Areas that emerged First, Second and Third positions respectively in the last quarterreport (October – December, 2023). Similarly, the Council has directed the
Ministry of Environment and Ministry for Local Government to admonishthe Kaugama Local Government Area for being the last position under in the last quarter reports, while the Council directed the Ministry to extend a letter
of commendations to Chairmen of Maigatari, Gumel and Birniwa for being 1st 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
