"We are immensely proud of the progress we've made in agricultural development, and we appreciate the recognition from the African Development Bank delegation," stated Governor Namadi. "Jigawa State has emerged as a leading wheat-producing state in the country, thanks to our collective efforts."

Acknowledging the critical role played by the Federal Government, particularly the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Governor Namadi expressed gratitude for their steadfast support in facilitating the National Agricultural Growth Scheme. He also extended appreciation to Dr. Akinwumu Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, for his unwavering commitment to promoting agriculture in Nigeria.

"We are determined to uplift our people out of poverty through agriculture," emphasized Governor Namadi. "It is the most viable path to sustainable development, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to expanding agricultural initiatives to encompass various crops and increase the allocated hectares to 100,000."

The delegation, led by Mr. Martins, commended Governor Namadi for his dedication and success in implementing the agricultural program. They pledged continued support to ensure the program's expansion and success across multiple crops.

The collaborative efforts between Jigawa State, the Federal Government, and the African Development Bank underscore a shared commitment to leveraging agriculture as a catalyst for economic growth and poverty alleviation.
