Governor, Malam Umar A Namadi has received the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations Award of Diamond Prize for Excellence in Food Security and Recognition as Patron of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations NIPR.
The Governor was given the award at the 60th Anniversary Ceremony of NIPR, in recognition of his exceptional achievements in the Area of Agriculture.
Presenting the Award to the Governor, the National President of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Dr. Ike Neliaku said "the Governing Council of the Professional body, noted your exceptional achievements in the Area of Agriculture, which has completely transformed the economy and livelihood of Jigawa State indigenes to the admiration of adjoining States and beyond".
While receiving the Award, Governor Malam Umar A Namadi thanks the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations for the Award and assured the Institute that his administration will not shy away from cooperating with the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations NIPR.
He said, Jigawa State Government is ready to live up to the expectations of the good people of Jigawa State.
Governor Namadi reiterated that, with NIPR as the intermediary between the Government, Corporate bodies, organizations and the public, communication is key, and this government will ensure that its good image subsist.
Later, the Governor had a discussion with the National President of the NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, Governing Council of the Professional body and senior members of NIPR.
The discussions bordered on the newly unveiled Reputation Perception Index (RPI) Project of the Institute and how best our leaders can further bridge the gap of effective communication with the citizens.
The Governor was accompanied by the Honorable Commissoner Ministry of Information, Youth Sports and Culture, Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed.
