RESOLUTION OF THE JIGAWA STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY 26TH JUNE, 2024

Highlights of the major decisions taken at the State Executive Council meeting held today Wednesday 26th June, 2024 as chaired by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State Malam Umar A. Namadi FCA. 

The Council has approved: 
 
1. The Report of the State Executive Council Committee on the offer for the Sale of Khadija University, Majia to Jigawa State Government 
under the Chairmanship of His Excellency, the Deputy Governor,Engr. Aminu Usman MNSE. Following the approval of the report, the Council constituted two special committees to advice the State Government to the procurement process and viability for full utilization of the University if acquired by the State. 

The committees are Technical and Administrative to be chaired by Commissioners of Higher Education and Basic Education respectively.

2. The sum of Two Billion, Nine Hundred and Eighty -Two Million, Nine Hundred and Fourteen Thousand, Fifteen Naira (N2,982.914,015) only for the Construction of Midwives Quarters, Hospitals Wall Fence, Solar Power in 30 Primary Health Centers 
(PHCs) across the State.In line with His Excellency’s commitment to upgrade Primary Health Centers with a view to improving maternal and child health in the State as contained in the 12 Points Agenda.
 
3. The sum of Three Billion, Five Hundred Million Naira (N3,500,000,000.00)only for theNigeria-Covid 19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulates (NG-CARES)Programme in line with HisExcellency’s commitments to support 30,000 Poor and Vulnerable Groups in the State under the FADAMA phase IV and V as presented by Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
