Dutse – The First Lady of Jigawa State, Hajiya Hadiza Umar A. Namadi, has disbursed ₦25 million to 500 women across the state as part of the Renewed Hope Initiative of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON.
Each beneficiary received ₦50,000 in financial support during a presentation ceremony held at the Government House Banquet Hall in Dutse.
Hajiya Hadiza Namadi urged the women to utilize the assistance judiciously, either to start new businesses or to expand existing ones, in order to achieve self-reliance, support their families, and contribute to the state’s economic development.
She expressed gratitude to dignitaries who graced the occasion, including the Wife of the Speaker, Hajiya Zahrau Haruna Aliyu; the Wife of the SSG, Hajiya Amina Bala Ibrahim; wives of Honourable Members; Commissioners; and Local Government Chairmen.
“Congratulations once again to all the beneficiaries. May Allah bless this initiative and make it a source of progress for our women and our dear state,” she said.
The gesture is part of the ongoing efforts of the Renewed Hope Initiative to empower women and promote economic inclusion across the country.
